Yes, I know the title of this post reads “pining” and not “pinning.” That’s intentional.
I’ve been away from this blog for a couple weeks, but I’ve been thinking about it. I still want to work and develop this blog and hope that someday, it will be useful to someone besides myself. I’m not sure who my “dream reader” is, but whoever they are, they’re someone who will take something away from my ramblings and find it helpful.
I love Pinterest. Kind of like this blog, I don’t make as much use of it as I could, but I do love it. I often find I’ve pinned things months ago that are waiting for me to rediscover them. Much is made of “Pinterest fails” on the internet, but I’ve had a lot of Pinterest successes. I also love saving my dreams and plans for the future (mostly for making our home a bit prettier–I love pretty things), and so I think of Pinterest as a place where I “pine” for the future.
Ah, you say. I get it now.
Here’s a great example of my pining on Pinterest, my kitchen ideas board. I started this board after we signed the contract for our new house in Connecticut, which we did about a year and a half ago. Our kitchen has made progress since then, but I’m still daydreaming of my perfect space:
And if I’ve kept your interest this long, here’s a link to my full profile:
That’s it for now! Happy pining…I mean, pinning!
