Mama Librarian

Thoughts from a brainy, bookish mama

About

Welcome to my little space of the blogosphere, coming to you from my quiet corner of Connecticut.

I’m Emma.

I am a mother, wife, educator, librarian and life-long lover of learning.  I’m a dreamer and a thinker, a reader and a writer.  I watch the world quietly and share what I see, keeping it honest and enjoyable.

This isn’t a mommy blog, or a teacher blog, or a crafty DIY blog.

This is a blog about life, and all its ups and downs.

I keep this blog because I can write and want to write.

I keep this blog because I want to show what loves looks in a family like mine.

I keep this blog to share the story of how we built our family, and our ongoing journey in life and love.

My life is busy.  I’m a school librarian by day, mommy by night and true blue introvert 100% of the time.  I need to do something for me, to get in touch with the thoughtful, creative, introspective side that gets pushed to the back of my life all too often.  This blog is my space to explore and reflect.

I’m married to my best friend in the world, and we are raising the most charming little boy, fighting side by side to make the world a better place for him through our work as educators.

I love to read other blogs and to interact with other writers – so please do feel free to comment or drop me an email: mccandless DOT emma AT gmail DOT com

    1. LOL…Wordpress may have done the same to you! Are we connected IRL? The thing about these blogs…they conceal identity well! 🙂

      1. I don’t *think* we know each other IRL, but you’ve been a regular commenter on my blog for a while and I didn’t connect you to Mama Librarian until just now.

    2. Ah, that makes more sense! I was wracking my brain trying to think who you could be! 🙂 No, I think I found your blog through Writing 101 and began commenting that way. 🙂

      1. LOL, sorry for the confusion. 🙂 Nope, it’s just that when I click on your name in your comments, it sends me to pragermccandless.wordpress.com, which gives me a message that it isn’t available. So I thought for a while that you were someone who comments but isn’t currently blogging.
